my work has over the years become rather varied in both subject and style of image, i tend to follow ideas as they appear in my rather overloaded head.

i try as much as possible to be image rather than process lead using a method of capture and printing suitable to achieve a final result. i totally agree with the question of ‘why i produced and image rather than how’.

saying all this it is important to recognise processes so here is an overview of how i work which falls into 2 categories, digital and analogue.

my digital work follows the well troden path of dslr or mobile device capture with post production on desktop or tablet devices.

in contrast i work with various analogue methods primarily film and wet plate collodion capture and alternative and contact printing. the beauty of analogie is there is almost endless possibilities for ecperimentation by using experiemnting with different chemicals and print mediums, its a fascinating world without limits.
