So, the sun has been shining in Perthshire as it does all year long (?) and summer well established which means we are in the midst of our annual Fortingall Art fair. With over 30 artists exhibiting for over 2 weeks this years show has reached the high standard that visitors have come to expect.

for 2018 i am exhibiting all analogue work with a mix of landscapes, figures and other fine art wet plate collodion images. Also a collection of platinum/palladium prints from wet plates alongside a few other types of alternative prints from film negs. check my personal Fortingall Art website portfolio

after a rather busy and distracted spring I have taken some time out from new work to sort out the studio workshop, moved the dark processing room out from the house and even setup a sink under the porch. getting a sink setup has only taken me 8 years finally motivated by finding a second hand Butlers sink locally, it weighs a tone and it’s very worn but it’s great – read more…..

Latest Blog  – summer has come so time for a change…

with 2 months before our next major exhibition, Fortingall Art, I will be working on some new wet plate projects over the coming weeks. plans are for some Highlands landscapes and also some new figure work, I just need another subject so if anyone is interested in a collaboration please get in touch.
